Setting Up Outlook Express To Check Your Zazu Mail

To configure Outlook Express to read Internet mail, follow these steps:

  • In Outlook Express, click Tools & Accounts.
  • In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add, and then click Mail.
  • In the Display Name box, type the name you want others to see when you send a message, and then click Next.
  • In the E-mail Address box, type the e-mail address for the account you are using (for example, "john@zazu.co.za"), and then click Next.
  • Under E-mail Server Names, select the appropriate incoming mail server type (POP3 is the default type), and then type the names of your incoming and outgoing mail servers. Click Next. (Incoming Server = pop.zazu.co.za, Outgoing Server = smtp.zazu.co.za)
  • Type your POP account name and password in the POP Account Name and Password boxes (Account name = john), Click next and then Finish.
  • Highlight the pop.zazu.co.za and select properties
  • Click the connection tab, tick the box called "Always connect to this account using" and select Zazu from the drop-down list.
  • Click OK.
Setting Up Outlook 2000 To Check Your ZAZU Mail
  • Open Outlook 2000, and click on Tools then Select Services. Click Add, Select Internet Email & click Ok.
  • Under Mail Account Properties, General Tab Mail Account - Ref Name of your choice, eg "Zazu Mail" User Information Name, Your Name Organization, Optional Email Address, whatever@zazu.co.za
  • Reply Address whatever@zazu.co.za
  • * Click on the Servers Tab Incoming Mail (POP3) pop.zazu.co.za
  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP) smtp.zazu.co.za
  • Account Name your_name * Password Your Selected Password
  • Click on the Connection Tab Select Connect Using My Phone Line, Under the Modem Option: Use the following Dial up Networking Connection - Select ZAZU Click Apply & Ok
  • Close Outlook & Re open Outlook for the changes to take effect.
  • You are now ready to send and receive Zazu Mail.
Setting Up Outlook 2002 To Check Your ZAZU Mail
  • Open Outlook 2002, and click on Tools then Select E-mail Accounts. Click Add a new e-mail account & click Next.
  • Under Mail Server Type, Select POP3 & click Next.
  • Under User Information, type in your name & your e-mail address.
  • Under Logon Information, if you e-mail address is for example peter@zazu.co.za, then your logon name would only be: peter & your password the one you've selected when you created the e-mail account.
  • Under Server Information, type in the following: Incoming Mail server (POP3): pop.zazu.co.za Outgoing Mail server (SMTP): smtp.zazu.co.za
  • Click on Next and then on Finish.
Setting Up Outlook 97 To Check Your ZAZU Mail
  • Open Outlook 97
  • Click on Tools and select Services then click on Add...
  • Click on Internet Mail to highlight it, then select OK.
  • A new window is opened, currently "General" is selected.
  • Under Personal Information, "Full Name:" Type your full name.
  • In "E-mail address:" Type your e-mail address for example "john@zazu.co.za".
  • Under Mailbox Information, "Internet Mail server:" Type pop.zazu.co.za
  • In "Account name" type your username (The first part of your e-mail address before the @zazu.co.za)
  • In "Password" type in your e-mail password.
  • Now Click on "Advanced Options..." in the box provided type: pop.zazu.co.za and click on OK.
  • Click on OK And yes, click on OK again.
  • You will now need to close and restart Outlook again, for these changes to take effect.
